What is a metal print?

Metal Prints represent a new art medium for preserving photos by infusing dyes directly into specially coated aluminum sheets. Your images will take on a magical luminescence. You've never seen a more brilliant and impressive print! Colors are vibrant and the luminescence is breathtaking.

Are metal prints waterproof?

Metal Prints are waterproof, UV resistant, and made from 100% recyclable aluminum. Images are transferred using dye sublimation processing which makes your image a permanent part of the aluminum sheet to create an extremely durable product!

How do you clean metal prints?

Metal Prints are the longest lasting photo medium. They last three times longer than high quality photo paper under glass. You can dust or clean them with a lint free or microfiber cloth.

How to Hang Metal Photo Prints?

There are many options given in hardware by different companies. At Portrilux, you can find options such as a wooden back mount ready to hang. 

How thick are HD Metal Prints

Metal Prints without any mounting options are .43 mm thick.

What surface is best for my image?

How long will HD Metal Prints last?

Metal Prints on our standard surfaces last 2 to 4 times the longevity of standard photographic prints, which are archival (meaning they will last 100 years in a moderate climate, away from direct sunlight). If you know your Metal Print will be displayed in direct sunlight, we recommend choosing Performance EXT Metal, which is proven to last 2-3 years in direct sunlight without noticeable fading.

ORDERING

 

Can I upload my images from Dropbox or social media?

You can upload images from Instagram, Facebook, Flickr, Dropbox, or Google Drive.(JPEG)

 

Can I change my shipping address? 

If you input a wrong address and we have not shipped the item out, we can make a quick change (please email us at service.portrilux@gmail.com with your order number and concern).

However, we will go by the shipping address input at the time of purchase if we are not notified before shipping. Please double check your address is correct. We are not liable for wrong shipping addresses input by the customer at the time of purchase. 

 

 

How do I change or cancel my order?

You may cancel or amend your order within 24 hours of purchase. We are committed to our customers and want you to be happy. We stand by our product and offer a 100% customer satisfaction guarantee. Just return the product to us undamaged within 30 days, email tracking information to service.portrilux@gmail.com, and we will gladly refund you.

          

     *NOTE: we do not provide pre-paid shipping packages to send products back to us. You must send back unwanted product at your own expense. We highly recommend shipping your piece (s) back via Fedex/UPS or USPS.

SHIPPING

 

HOW LONG FOR SHIPPING ?

Each print is actually made to order and we make them by our hands from receiving to pack your order. We are a small team here based in San Diego, CA with 5-8 team members.

Our processed and shipped within 3 to 5 business days and our warehouse is closed for processing weekends and holidays.   

 For shipping we use UPS or USPS to ship your order.
    UPS Ground shipping time is anywhere between 3 - 5 business days.
    USPS                                                                      2 - 5    business days

DO WE SHIP INTERNATIONAL?

We're sorry, but we do not ship international. International shipping is quite expensive and time-consuming. Plus items being shipped overseas must respect import laws and might be taxed at customs.


That's reasons why we refuse to ship globally.

RETURN POLICY

 

My print arrived damaged. What do I do?

Email us at  service.portrilux@gamil.com with your order number and pictures of the damage. We’ll respond with further instructions.

 

I’m not happy with my print. Can I return it?

We do our utmost to ensure that your prints are packaged carefully and arrive safely at their destination. We do not accept returns, however if there is damage to your Metal Print upon arrival, please contact us and we will be happy to work with you on a quick resolution. At this time, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. We also accept debit cards with Visa or MasterCard.

We don't take paypal, personal checks, money orders, purchase orders, CODs.
